Dumitru Capoianu

Dumitru Capoianu (Born October 19, 1929 in Bucharest) studied at the Bucharest Conservatory. Early in his career, he worked as a musical director at film studios in Bucharest and later as sound controller for Romanian television and radio. He has composed for film since 1957 and his credits include Short History (1957) and Steps to the Moon (1963). He has also composed for orchestra and chamber groups, creating works in an expressive, folk song style. ~ Lynn Vought, All Music Guide
