Spain was waiting 44 years to gain this title. It deserves it! Spain was, really, the best team at the 2008 UEFA European Football Championship. Fernando Torres was the best!
No doubt now, after this match: Spain is much much more technical than Russia. But I applaud the Russian team for their effort and fair play all this tournament.
So, on June 29th, no surprise. The final between Germany and Spain. I bet on Spain.
Everyone was waiting for a come back of the Italian team after the groups. But, after a very difficult and very lucky qualification from the groups, the old team of Italy tried to resist during its match with Spain and to decide the winner during the penalties. And it succeeded. But this time the luck left Italy.
The Knockout stage of the 2008 UEFA European Championships is scheduled to begin with the quarter-finals on 19 June 2008, and be completed on 29 June 2008 with the final at Ernst Happel Stadion in Vienna.
