1:1 And Solomon, the son of David, made himself strong in his kingdom, and the Lord his God was with him, and made him very great.

1:2 And Solomon sent word to all Israel, to the captains of thousands and of hundreds and to the judges and to every chief in all Israel, heads of their families.

1:3 Then Solomon, and all the men of Israel with him, went to the high place at Gibeon, because the Tent of meeting of God, which Moses, the servant of the Lord, had made in the waste land, was there.

1:1 Adam, Seth, Enosh;

1:2 Kenan, Mahalalel, Jared,

1:3 Enoch, Methuselah, Lamech;

1:4 Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

1:5 The sons of Japheth: Gomer and Magog and Madai and Javan and Tubal and Meshech and Tiras.

1:6 And the sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz and Diphath and Togarmah.

1:7 And the sons of Javan: Elishah and Tarshish, Kittim and Rodanim.

1:8 The sons of Ham: Cush and Egypt, Put and Canaan.

1:9 And the sons of Cush: Seba and Havilah and Sabta and Raama and Sabteca. And the sons of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan.

9:1 Am I not free? am I not an Apostle? have I not seen Jesus our Lord? are you not my work in the Lord?

9:2 If to others I am not an Apostle, at least I am one to you: for the fact that you are Christians is the sign that I am an Apostle.

9:3 My answer to those who are judging me is this.

9:4 Have we no right to take food and drink?

2:1 Now when the birth of Jesus took place in Bethlehem of Judaea, in the days of Herod the king, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,
