The Romanian President Traian Băsescu still support the decrease of the number of the parliamentaries

After the political vote in Parliament for the support of Klaus Johannis as Prime-Minister, Traian Băsescu declared that this vote is, in fact, against the referendum for the decrease of the number of parliamentaries, that will be organized same time with the presidential election.

The referendum ask for the decrease of the number of parliamentaries from 471 to 300, with a single parliamentary chamber. Traian Băsescu asked the parties that support Klaus Johannis as Prime-Minister to register officially the alliance at the Tribunal: "I didn't see that they registered to Tribunal. They make a confusion about the institutions that officialize the coalitions. They have to take care that the parliamentary alliances can be broken...", said Traian Băsescu.

The Nobel Prize Committee said that "His diplomacy is founded in the concept that those who are to lead the world must do so on the basis of values and attitudes that are shared by the majority of the world's population".
