Tennis at the 2008 Summer Olympics
Tennis competitions at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing will be held from August 10 to August 17. The tournaments will be held at the Olympic Green Tennis Centre. The surface will be hardcourt, specifically DecoTurf.
4 sets of medals will be awarded in the following events:
Men's Singles
Men's Doubles
Women's Singles
Women's Doubles
Surface - DecoTurf II
The tennis competition at the Olympic Games consists of a single elimination tournament. The 2 losers in the semifinal will play for the bronze medal.
Matches will be best-of-3 sets, except for the Men's singles and doubles finals which will be best-of-5 sets. No tiebreak will be played in the final set.
