The Nobel Prize in Literature in 2008 awarded Jean-Marie Gustave Le Clézio, "author of new departures, poetic adventure and sensual ecstasy, explorer of a humanity beyond and below the reigning civilization".
Jean-Marie Gustave Le Clézio, or J.M.G. Le Clézio (born April 13, 1940 in Nice) is a French novelist. He was awarded the 1963 Prix Renaudot and the 2008 Nobel Prize in Literature.
I did not meet Iosif Constantin Drăgan but, by his actions, as well as his books that promote the Romanian national pride and the idea that the Dacians, our ancestors, were a hardworking and brave nation, he gained forever my respect.
Today, August 21th, 2008, Iosif Constantin Drăgan died at Palma de Mallorca, Italy. The funeral will take place on August 25th, in his native city, Lugoj, Romania
