Ex-generals Mihai Chitac and Victor Athanasie Stanculescu, 15 years of prison

The High Court for Cassation and Justice sentenced today two Romanian generals, Mihai Chitac (ex Chief of the Chemical Unit of the Internal Affair Minister) and Victor Athanasie Stanculescu (ex-minister at the Defense Minister), to 15 years in prison, for their actions during the Romanian revolution at Timisoara, in December 1989.

Mihai Chitac said that he will comply with the decision but protest against its justice, saying that all the process was influenced by a person that he named Constantinescu.
